1. Heart disease

Heart disease patients should exhale slowly. As we all know, Kapalbhati is an excessive forceful process that may lead to high blood pressure for heart disease patients and may cause a heart attack. When heart disease patients practice Kapalbhati, the exhalation must be gentle; do not use excessive force.

2. High blood pressure

With high blood pressure, practicing Kapalbhati can harm you as it disrupts blood flow

Pregnant women should be avoided by Kapalbhati as it causes harm to an unborn child when the abdominal muscles are rigid.

4. Hernia

5. Backache due to slip – disc

A slipped disc occurs when a soft cushion of tissue between your spine’s bones slips. It can cause pain if it presses against nerves. Performing Kapalbhati in this condition can give you unbearable pain by getting pressure on the disk.

6. Recently undergo an abdominal surgery

If you recently go under abdominal surgery then Kapalbhati is not your cup of tea because its puts excessive pressure on the abdominal region and affects your abdominal stitches and makes the condition worse.

7. During menstruation

During menstruation when you tend to bleed a lot during this period. Kapalbhati is a very forceful breathing kriya that places excessive pressure on the abdominal region and practicing it may be very uncomfortable and cause more bleeding.

8. Not allowed with a full stomach

Kapalbhati is not recommended with a full stomach. It is suggested that Kapalbhati should be practiced either two hours before food or three hours after food as excessive pressure can cause vomiting and restlessness.




9. Lead to vertigo

Vertigo is a disorder. A person with vertigo believes that all objects in his environment are moving when they are not. In this condition, if practicing Kapalbhati then as we know Kapalbhati is excessive forceful kriya so it leads to vertigo worse.

10. Suffer from epilepsy

A person with epilepsy experiences abnormal brain activity. As Kapalbhati is forceful kriya maybe its stroke rise the pressure on the brain and could cause a seizure.

If a pacemaker or stent is implanted in you then excessive forceful processes like Kapalbhati may lead to high blood pressure and it may cause harm.
