Vishwa Shanti Yoga School offers four (4) one week and three (3) 15 days Yoga Retreats each month. Yoga Retreats is a minified version of Yoga Teacher Training emphesizing on the practical aspect of Yoga with light on the philosophical aspect. You will be practicing different asanas (yoga postures), Pranayama (control on breath), dhyana (meditation), ayurvedic massage along with learning nutritive and preventive health care mechanism. As per your requirement and flexibility, the class may include naturopathy and detoxification.

Our yoga retreats make you practice gentle or hatha yoga. This program is designed for beginners to intermediate level yoga practitioners. If you are advanced practitioner but want to join this non-certification program, we make special arrangements for you. The basic purpose of this program is not to earn a degree or certification in yoga or become a professional yoga instructor but to learn yoga for personal benefit and specially, to get out of stressful daily routine and spend some time in this part of the world where air breaths spirituality. Meditation and mantra chanting in the daily activities will fill you with peace and tranquility.

As per Yoga Alliance USA, techniques, training and practice; teaching methodology; anatomy and physiology; yoga philosophy, lifestyle and ethics for yoga teachers plus practicum are the five important subjects to be covered in 200 hour yoga teacher training. We cover yoga asanas, pranayama, kriyas, mantra chanting, meditation and other traditional yoga techniques under techniques, training and practice. Teaching styles, qualities of yoga instructor, mass handeling, types of students,etc. are covered under teaching methodology. Yoga anatomy and physiology makes you understand the effect of yoga practices including asanas, meditation and kriyas on your body systems and organs, chakras, nadis. You will be studying Patanjali's Yog Sutra, the Bhagvad Geeta, Hatha Yoga Pradapika and other philosophical texts and teach your peers on topics your instructor gives you. This is your chance to practice teaching yoga - you will be going to the field as a practitioner and this is a demo class you conduct before registering yourself as an instructor.
