Yoga Courses for Beginners in Rishikesh, India at Vishwa Shanti Yoga is the short term course designed for beginners to intermediate level yoga practitioners who do not directly plunge into the intensive TTC course but be flexible mentally and physically before planning further. If you are practising yoga but want to taste the Indian or eastern way of living yoga, this one is an ideal course for you. You will get to practise both Hatha and Astanga yoga and learn yoga philosophy to some extent. Eastern yoga philosophy may be totally different from what you learn in the west, here you will learn the classical yoga brought about from the ages long traditional practice blended into modern day contemporary understanding and practical results.
Yoga for beginners at Vishwa Shanti Yoga daily schedule includes Shatkarma, Ganesh Aarti, Pranayama, Meditation, Philosophy and Anatomy along with Asana. If you are confident enough and want to join a certification program that allows you to later work as yoga instructor, you can join 200 hour TTC course. For the advanced level yoga practitioners who have already completed their 200 hour of training, 300 hour YTT will be ideal. Beginners yoga course is not a certification program but taught by certified yoga instructors who have their own specialization in different aspects of yoga. Moreover, you will eat vegetarian (yogic) diet each day to nurture your stomach and support the daily yoga practice. This residential intensive yoga training will be an opportunity for you to explore Indian culture and get connected with the people from different places and background who come with the mission to acclimatize yoga in their living style.

As per Yoga Alliance USA, techniques, training and practice; teaching methodology; anatomy and physiology; yoga philosophy, lifestyle and ethics for yoga teachers plus practicum are the five important subjects to be covered in 200 hour yoga teacher training. We cover yoga asanas, pranayama, kriyas, mantra chanting, meditation and other traditional yoga techniques under techniques, training and practice. Teaching styles, qualities of yoga instructor, mass handeling, types of students,etc. are covered under teaching methodology. Yoga anatomy and physiology makes you understand the effect of yoga practices including asanas, meditation and kriyas on your body systems and organs, chakras, nadis. You will be studying Patanjali's Yog Sutra, the Bhagvad Geeta, Hatha Yoga Pradapika and other philosophical texts and teach your peers on topics your instructor gives you. This is your chance to practice teaching yoga - you will be going to the field as a practitioner and this is a demo class you conduct before registering yourself as an instructor.
