Course Curriculum

As per Yoga Alliance USA, techniques, training and practice; teaching methodology; anatomy and physiology; yoga philosophy, lifestyle and ethics for yoga teachers plus practicum are the five important subjects to be covered in 200 hour yoga teacher training. We cover yoga asanas, pranayama, kriyas, mantra chanting, meditation and other traditional yoga techniques under techniques, training and practice. Teaching styles, qualities of yoga instructor, mass handeling, types of students, etc. are covered under teaching methodology. Yoga anatomy and physiology makes you understand the effect of yoga practices including asanas, meditation and kriyas on your body systems and organs, chakras, nadis. You will be studying Patanjali's Yog Sutra, the Bhagvad Geeta, Hatha Yoga Pradapika and other philosophical texts and teach your peers on topics your instructor gives you. This is your chance to practice teaching yoga - you will be going to the field as a practitioner and this is a demo class you conduct before registering yourself as an instructor.

The traditional theory of Mantra is very close to the science of sound, rhythm, and its relationship with silence and consciousness. Mantras are divided into two types: those without meaning and those with meaning. Mantras without meaning are known as seed or Beej mantras and are the most powerful sounds of manifestation.

Mantras have traditionally been used to focus and ultimately release the mind from its limits. Participants in mantra classes will learn how to use mantras to create an inner space for a meditational journey.

Teachers at Vishwa Shanti yoga school will lead participants through Mantra sessions, guiding them step by step to uncover their own wellspring of potentialities, which they can then employ in their own lessons.

Your meditation session will contain the following methods:
• Self-observation on a variety of levels, either directed or self-led.
• Developing the ability to mentor students.
• The relationship between breathing and meditation.
• Yog Nidra for beginners to advanced practitioners.

Teaching methodology is the foundation of a teacher's training programme, how to teach. It's all about establishing an environment where learning may happen without being hindered.

The teaching technique sessions at Vishwa Shanti Yoga School meet the needs of its participants to grow as Yoga Teachers in a methodical, step-by-step way by establishing sequential self-practice in order to eventually guide others as efficient teachers or Yoga Teachers.

Teaching methodology sessions include the following practises:
• Yoga teacher's ethical guidelines.
• Lesson plan and practise sequencing.
• Observation of the class management.
• Demonstrations, assistance, and correction as an art form.
• The concept of alignment at all levels.

The traditional hypothesis of Mantra is very close to the science of sound, rhythm, and its relationship with silence and consciousness. Mantras are divided into two types: those without meanings and those with meanings. Mantras without meanings are known as seed or Beej mantras and are the most powerful sounds of manifestation.

Mantras have long been used to help people focus and eventually free their minds of their restrictions. Participants in mantra classes will learn how to use mantras to create an inner space for meditation. Instructors at Vishwa Shanti yoga school will lead participants through Mantra sessions, guiding them step by step to uncover their own wellspring of potentialities, which they can then employ in their own lessons.

The following strategies are used during a mantra session:
• Mantras with their own voice modulations.
• To bring to light secret parts of the human body.
• And, more recently, this has become known as total transformation or Self-realization.

Without philosophy, yoga, like any other discipline, is a body without consciousness. The philosophy classes of Vishwa Shanti Yoga School are delivered in a participatory format, in which students not only learn how to create questions but also come to their own conclusions regarding mundane, emotional, and spiritual life.

We've discovered that the quality of one's questions influences the quality of one's life, and that learning how to acquire answers opens up a world of possibilities. The development of interpersonal communicational skills, which improve perception and responses to life's events for a fuller experience, is one of the most essential consequences.
